The Costa dei Trabocchi takes its name from the trabocchi: wooden fishing platforms on stilts that reach out over the sea. Fishermen once lowered their nets from them without ever leaving the shore.
Today many of them are restaurants. You sit above the water, eat what was caught that day and watch the light change over the bay.
